Mike Wang General Manager

  • Over 30 years of experience in RF/Analog IC design related to communication applications.
  • Has held many key design leadership positions at various tier-one companies including 2 U.S. startup companies both with successful exits.

Doug Moran Director Business Development North America

  • Mr. Doug Moran has more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with an extensive knowledge working with RFID and broadband communication applications.
  • In 2013, Mr. Moran co-founded Okika Technologies with a vision of transforming how electronic engineers design. Before Okika, Mr. Moran was the Vice President of Research and Development at Ramtron International Corporation before its purchase by Cypress Semiconductor. In 2007 and 2008, as Director of Product Development at Neology Inc, he managed all aspects of R&D activities. Neology specializes in RFID systems. From 2003 until 2008 he was Director of System on Chip Design at Conexant Systems. Previous roles include Director of Design Engineering at Fairchild Semiconductor and Design Engineer at TRW Avionics.
  • Mr. Moran earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from UCLA and attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is a holder of numerous patents.

Michael Lei Technical Marketing Director

  • Michael Lei graduated in 2007 from National Taiwan University with a PhD degree in communication engineering, specializing in microwave engineering and millimeter wave circuit designs.
  • He started his career as an RF IC designer at MediaTek, designing TX circuits blocks for 2G and 3G cellular SoCs from 0.13um to 40nm CMOS technology.
  • In 2011, he joined a Chinese startup company developing IoT SoC for wireless connectivity, designing RF and analog circuit blocks for Wi-Fi, 2.4GHz radio and Bluetooth SoCs. After leading several successful chip projects in 2.4GHz radio and Bluetooth Low Energy, Michael worked as product manager to promote the company’s own BLE product line and led technical marketing taskforce investigating ultra-low power techniques for next generation Wi-Fi IoT SoC.
  • During the COVID pandemic, Michael was at Foxconn, developing 5G small cell chip sets. He then joined System Elite, a Taiwanese startup specializing in IoT design services in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, as a technical marketing manager defining new product specifications.
  • Prior to joining KaikuTek, Michael was the APAC FAE for Agile Analog, a British startup company with an automation technology to generate and deliver analog IPs to specifications and technology node exact to customer request. Michael and the APAC sales team generated half of Agile Analog’s revenue in APAC region for 2022.

Wen-Jyi Hwang Consultant

  • Wen-Jyi Hwang received his M.S.E.C.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, USA, in 1990 and 1993, respectively.
  • He is currently a Distinguished Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE), and the Executive Director of Information Technology Center, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Taiwan. In 2022, he was the Associated Vice President for Research and Development, NTNU. From 2006 to 2010, he also served as the Chairman of the Department of CSIE, NTNU. From 1993 to 2003, he was an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), Taiwan.
  • Dr. Hwang is a Senior Member of IEEE. He was a recipient of the Academia-Industry Collaboration Award from NTNU in 2017, 2020, 2021 and 2022. His awards and honors also include the Outstanding Young Researcher Award from the Asia-Pacific Board of the IEEE Communication Society, the Outstanding Researcher Award from CYCU, and the Outstanding Young Electrical Engineer Award from the Chinese Institute of the Electrical Engineering. He is currently an Editorial Member of Chips, MDPI, and a Special Issue Editor of Micromachines, MDPI.
