Our solution can be easily adapted as a replacement for touch screen control in automotive situation for the following reasons (1) safety concern (2) grease and glare from the sun make the screen un-readable, (3) back seat passengers will have easy access to control in car or avionic infortainment system (e.g. watching movie, radio station selection, air/temperature/sound volume control, FFWD, etc) under the constraint of the seat belt or not to disturb front passenger. (4) our solution works well in all ambient brightness conditions.
In addition, our AI based solution is especially attractive for in-car presence detection, driver alertness detection, and back trunk kick-open applications because false alarm rate can be drastically reduced.
