Overview

K60168-P is a 60GHz CMOS Radar SoC, specially developed with hand gesture recognition applications in mind. It integrates a fully functional 1T3R radar transceiver on a single die in a 6.0 x 6.5 mm package with antennas printed on top (AoP). With 3 RX antennas, not only is finer gesture possible but also are concurrent 1D, 2D, and 3D tracking. For innovative human-machine interface usage, KaiKuTeK has developed several sets of gestures with accuracy over 95% for customers to choose from according to application needs. Using mature CMOS process, we integrated radar transceivers, antennas, AI accelerator, DSP, peripheral circuits, and M0 MCU for power management/application all onto a single die. This level of integration also enables efficient realization of ML algorithms for gesture recognition. Since the K60168-P uses millimeter-wave radar technology, when compared with other sensors, it not only has the advantage of high range resolution, but its permeability of EM wave also enables it to be used in many unprecedented scenarios. Most sensors on the market do not have built-in AI accelerators; so, the data collected by the sensors need to be sent to a high-performance CPU/MCU or cloud servers for further processing followed by gesture recognition algorithm developed by a dedicated AI team in order to achieve the same functionalities which K60168-P inherently provides.
